Judson powers, dvm

Dr. Judson Powers, a graduate of the University of Florida, is a compassionate and empathetic pet owner and advocate. Upon graduation, in an effort to further his understanding and knowledge of small animal care and surgery, Dr. Powers completed a clinical internship, at West Los Angeles Animal Hospital. Now with over 20 years of experience, he strives to ensure all pets receive the finest medical treatment available.

Dr. Powers lives in Greer, SC with his loving wife, Melissa, and his three dogs Harvey (Golden Retriever), Piper (Coonhound mix), and Winnie (Bluetick Coonhound mix). Outside of veterinary medicine, Dr. Powers enjoys hiking, mountain biking, SUP boarding, and cheering on the Florida Gators! Our Rocky Creek logo was inspired by Mr. Denny Crane, he was his loyal black Labrador who was with Dr. P since Rocky Creek was founded.

Audrey Philip, dvm

Dr. Audrey became a member of the Rocky Creek family in August, 2013. She was born and raised in Memphis, TN and received her Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology from Auburn University (c/o 2007). Dr. Audrey is a proud graduate of Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine (c/o 2011) and a current and active member of the South Carolina Veterinary Medical Association (SCVMA), the American Association of Feline Practitioners (AAFP) and the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA).

Dr. Audrey lives in Simpsonville with her husband, Nick, and their four dogs, Leon (Cavalier King Charles Spaniel), Nola (Chocolate Lab), Val (Shepherd Mix), and Cheddar (Cavalier King Charles Spaniel). She also has two precious cats named P.B. & Benji. She lovingly compares her house to "Noah's Ark". When not at work, Dr. Audrey loves to hike, paddle board and be outside! She also loves cheering on her Auburn Tigers and a good glass of wine! While at work, Dr. Audrey enjoys internal medicine, surgery and emergency/critical care medicine. She also has special interest in performing ultrasounds. Dr. Audrey is happy and excited to be a part of the Rocky Creek team and looks forward to serving you and your pet's needs.

Michaela mattice

Certified Practice Manager

Michaela was born and raised in Michigan. She moved to the Greenville area in June 2011. She lives in Greer with her Husband, Jameson, her son, Finlay, and their dogs, Jetta (Dalmatian), Jessie (Dalmatian Mix), Chloe (Chihuahua Mix) and Deacon (Great Dane). In her free time, she enjoys running, hiking, being crafty, cooking and spending time with friends. Michaela completed her Certified Verterinary Practice Manager Certification in November of 2017 and is proud to be a CVPM. She hopes to use that certification to learn and grow in the field for years to come. She loves coming to work every day and seeing all the animals and caring for them like they were her own.

Kelsey pruitt

Head Technician-Manager

Kelsey was born and raised in Greer, SC and graduated from USC-Upstate with a Biology degree in 2014. She has one dog, a Dalmatian named Penny, whom she loves to hike with. In her spare time, she also enjoys playing basketball and kickball, watching football, and going to concerts.

Amber Gomes

Receptionist

Amber was born and raised in Travelers Rest. From a young age, she knew she wanted to pursue a career working with animals. Amber worked in our kennel for over 2 years, but has since moved to the front office as a receptionist! She has five dogs, a Husky mix named Ozz, a long-haired Dachshund named Sir Cocoa Bean, two Pitties named Cruz and Brock, and a Chow/Hound mix named Duke. In her free time she enjoys taking the dogs hiking, and traveling with her husband.

Pet Resort Assistant

Carlina, otherwise known as Carly, grew up in western New York and came to South Carolina in 2015. Carly has a silver Labrador named Raleigh and a Miniature Pinscher named Nutter. She has recently discovered a love for weight lifting and is hoping to get involved in local competitions. Aside from weight lifting, she also enjoys going to the movies with friends and taking road trips on her weekends off. Carly is currently in school for physical therapy as well! One of her favorite parts about working at Rocky Creek is all the new dogs she gets to meet.

Christina schumacher

Receptionist

Christina is originally from Charleston, SC. She has since lived in Columbia where she attended The University of South Carolina and met her husband, Brooks, and they now reside in the Spartanburg area. In her free time, she enjoys being outside with her three dogs, gardening, and reading books such as the Harry Potter series. She has been in the vet field since 2014 and enjoys being able to build relationships with clients and their pets.

Receptionist

Sadie is from Dacusville, SC where she lives with her two little boys, Lane and Tillman. In her free time she enjoys riding horses and going to rodeos where her son Lane rides sheep! Her family has a Shepherd mix named Boone who is full of energy, and a Great Dane mix named Cash who loves to chew everything in sight. Sadie has known from a young age that she wanted to pursue a career with animals, and is enjoying every day spent at Rocky Creek.

Crista medina

Technician

Crista is originally from West Palm Beach, Florida. She started her career when she was 18, and got her Applied Science Degree in 2005 at the University of Gainesville. Crista had moved to Pennsylvania back in 2008, but made her way to Greenville in August of 2017. She has three adorable Pomeranian's, named Booger, Faith, and Dolce. She also has a rescue tabby named Lizzie. In her free time she enjoys kayaking, hiking, and reading. Crista is a surgical tech here at Rocky Creek, and has been a surgical tech for 15 years. One of her favorite parts about working in the veterinary field is that she never gets bored, because she is never done learning.

Ashley McCall

Receptionist

Ashley was born in Greenville, SC and currently lives in the Gray Court area. She has two dogs, a German Shepherd named Blaze, and a Doberman/Rott mix named Bandit. Some of her hobbies include spending time with her daughter, Isabella, and husband James. They enjoy spending summer days on the lake, playing with their dogs, and going shopping together. Ashley's favorite part about working at Rocky Creek is being able to do what is in the pets best interest and being able to see the success in recoveries. She enjoys the constant interaction with both the pets and their owners.

amanda boyd

Technician

Amanda grew up in Greenville, SC where she owned a variety of different pets throughout the years, including dogs (her favorite), turtles, parakeets, fish, hamsters, and mice. Amanda graduated from the Veterinary Assisting program at Greenville Tech, and then continued her education and graduated from USC-Upstate with a BS in Psychology a few years later. She began working for Rocky Creek as a veterinary technician in May 2012. Her hobbies include traveling, live music, hiking, water sports, and spending time with family and friends. Amanda currently lives in Greer with her husband and their English Pointer, Riley.

Licensed Technician

Manda is one of our licensed vet techs here at Rocky Creek. She graduated from Tri-County Tech in 2008 and resides in Lyman, her hometown since birth. Manda has 5 cats (3 of which are special needs), and in her spare time loves to visit with family, read books and staying involved in her church. Aside from helping animals, she has a great passion for orphan care and has traveled the world to express and share her compassion with others.

Robin collins

Technician

Robin was born and raised in Inman, South Carolina. She received her Cosmetology license in 2013, but decided to work with animals instead when got an opportunity shortly after graduating. Robin believes that working with animals is God’s plan for her and her talent is her way of giving back. For the past three years her heart has been devoted to the animals she cares for. In her spare time she enjoys watching Netflix, hanging out by the pool with her friends, and cuddling with her three dogs (Piper, Passion, and Diamond). She looks forward to advancing her career in veterinary medicine and continuing to love and care for every pet she can.

Franscesca mansell

Technician Assistant

Francesca began working with animals as a teenager growing up in Greenville, SC. She has lived all over the United States and just recently moved back to Greenville with her son, Augustine. While living in Arizona, Francesca volunteered at a wildlife center working with bobcats and spent 11 years as a technician at a clinic exclusively for felines. Francesca and her son currently live in Greenville with her dog, Sammy (a dachshund mix), and cat, Kira. Francesca enjoys spending time in nature (especially in the spring!), gardening, and offering comfort and care for pets when they’re not feeling their best.

Candace wilhoit

Technician Assistant

Candace is a Greer native. She lives there with long-term boyfriend, Jamie, daughters Savannah and Evelyn, and step-daughter Lillian. Pitbulls are her favorite breed and she has two, named Jane and Thor. She also has two cats Rupert and Cat, and a snake named No Feet. Candace knew from an early age that she had a passion for animals and wanted to work with them. Candace is Fear Free Certified and enjoys building trusting relationships with the animals she works with daily at "The Creek."

Jordan Clevenger

Technician Assistant

Originally from Boiling Springs, SC, Jordan is a graduate of USC Upstate. She obtained her Bachelors degree in Sociology in 2015. After working in the counseling field for a short while she decided to enter the veterinary field to serve animals instead. Jordan has two adorable babies named Coconut Maui & Kiwi Kalua who are her entire world! In her free time she enjoys hiking, horseback riding, and hosting photo shoots for her babies. Jordan is definitely the entertaining one in the hospital & loves making everyone smile humans and animals alike.

ana hurtado

Technician Assistant

Ana was raised in Colombia and came to the Greenville area in 2001. She has a little Schnauzer named Paco. Ana loves to travel, dance, sing karaoke, and eat! She hopes to one day be a veterinary assistant. One of her favorite parts about working at Rocky Creek is playing with all the puppies every day.

Cassi scott

Technician Assistant

Cassi was born and raised in Spartanburg, SC. She has two dogs, Piper who is a sweet Staffordshire Terrier mix, and Oatmeal who is a spunky Dachshund mix. Cassi often enjoys reading and playing fetch with her two dogs during her time off. She loves being a part of the veterinarian field so that she can help all the animals who come in to our hospital.

Carly o'barr

Technician Assistant

Carly was born and raised in Anderson, SC. She has a diva dog named Leela who is a Pitski. Leela loves to talk to get what she wants! Carly enjoys photography in her free time, as well as graphic design. A big part of what she loves about working here at Rocky Creek is that she gets to learn all the different personalities of each individual pet that walks through our doors.

Megan haughey

Technician

Raised in Baltimore, Maryland, Megan moved to the Upstate in October of 2018. She has two French Bulldogs, one named Magnolia and the other named Olive. Megan loves to be active and hike with Olive. She also enjoys getting to explore her new home Greenville. One part Megan loves about working at Rocky Creek is the opportunity to get to know the clients and their pets.

Groomer

Jessica is originally from Tidusville, Florida, and moved here five years ago. She enjoys spending time with her five rambunctious dogs and cat. In her off time, she likes to foster pets in need of forever homes as well as kayak. Jessica has been grooming for three years, and her favorite part is making your pets look beautiful!

Brittany dunn

Day Camp Attendant

Brittany has lived in South Carolina for 30 years and is a proud mom to a beautiful daughter named Amber. She also has two cats, Booger Boo and Fridge, and two adorable dogs, Sable (a Yorkie) and Pixie (a Miniature Schnauzer). Brittany has worked at Rocky Creek since early 2015 and loves every minute of her job.

Kim has had a passion for animals since she was a little girl. She has a precious Shih Tzu named Bella that is her baby. She loves working at Rocky Creek with such amazing clients, animals and co-workers! In her free time she loves going hiking in the mountains and taking weekend trips Charleston.

Ashley johnson

Pet Resort Manager

Ashley was born and raised in Greenville. She has six dogs, seven horses, and a frisky feline. She enjoys spending her time hiking, horseback riding, and traveling whenever she gets the chance. Her favorite part about working at Rocky Creek is playing with all the happy puppies.

Jennifer hess

Pet Resort Shift Leader

Jennifer was born and raised in Rockford, Illinois but moved to Greenville in 2014. She has three fur babies: Lilo (an orange tabby rescue cat), Nani (a calico rescue kitten), and Stitch (a Chihuahua/Dachshund mix). Jennifer believes that being able to work with animals makes each day worthwhile and has enjoyed being an animal caretaker for the past 3 years. When she’s not working, Jennifer looks forward to spending time with her nephews, family dinners, and traveling to new and beautiful places.

Kaitlyn moore

Pet Resort Shift Leader

Kaitlyn is from Myrtle Beach, SC, but has been in Greenville for over a decade. She has two dogs, Chewy and Maggie. She also has two cats named Marshall and Skye. Kaitlyn enjoys photography and spending time with her family on her days off. One part of her job that she loves to do is the personal playtimes with both the cats and dogs!

Nicki garrett

Pet Resort Assistant

Nikki is originally from Oklahoma and moved here in 2008. She haas three pets named Phoebe, Monica, and Chandler. She loves to go swimming, hiking, and spending time with family and friends. One thing Nikki enjoys about working with the animals here is getting to know all their individual personalities.

Falon is originally from the “thumb” of Michigan. She has a Newfoundland named Copper, a Persian named Mocha, and a mix canine named Aurora. In her free time she loves to read and go hiking. One of her favorite parts about working at Rocky creek is working with all the dogs, and she especially loves their kisses!

Ashley was born and raised in Greenville, South Carolina. She has a white and black Labrador mix named Lilah that she rescued off the side of the road. She also has a longhair tabby named Cake and two ferrets named Cujo and Tilly. Ashley loves to spend time drawing and playing video games on her days off.

Michael is originally from Amarillo, Texas and moved to the Greenville area about 12 years ago. He enjoys hanging out with his friends and playing video games during his free time. One of his favorite parts about working at Rocky Creek is to experience all the different interactions with the dogs that you wouldn't get anywhere else.

Ansley is a Greenville native, born and raised. In her free time she loves to draw, hang out with school friends, and take care of her fluffy Shih Tzu, Cooper. One part of working at Rocky Creek that she loves is getting to know all the animals that come in.. and of course play with them!

Christina was born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA and recently moved back to the Upstate area. Tina has three Greyhounds, one Terrier Mix, three cats and two guinea pigs that she adores. In her free time she enjoys binge watching shows on Netflix and Amazon, as well as taking her dogs to the park. One of her favorite parts about working at Rocky Creek is being able to take care of people's animals.

Brooke was born and raised in Pennsylvania. She graduated from the Vet Tech Institute in June, 2018 with an associates degree in veterinary technology. She moved to Greer, Sc in December 2018. Brooke has 3 dogs, a chihuahua named Leo (aka little man) , a bullador named mocha and a boarder collie/blue heeled mix named Java. In her free time Brooke enjoys being outdoors and going to concerts

Chelsey palmer

Groomer

Chelsey was born in Texas, and spent eight years in New York. She moved to Greenville about three years ago. She has a dilute tortie cat named Nova, a Pitbull mix named Apollo, and a bearded dragon named Persephone. In her free time she enjoys exploring new places such as Alaska and Atlanta, as well as discovering new books to read. Chelsey loves being able to meet all the different pets that come into Rocky Creek, as well as spending time with her coworkers.

Katelyn Hair

Katelyn was born and raised in Aynor, South Carolina, and moved to Greenville in 2010. She enjoys being outside with her four dogs, and many chickens. She hopes to own a farm one day. In her free time she likes to go fishing and hunting with her fiance, Cameron. Ever since she was little she aspired to work with animals, just like her hero Steve Irwin. Her favorite part about working at Rocky Creek is being able to help all the animals.
